Matthew 19:14 says, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” This verse beautifully captures Jesus’ heart for children — His invitation for them to come close, to be loved, and to experience His grace. It reminds us that faith isn’t about age or status but about having a heart that trusts simply and sincerely. At Hawthorne Baptist, we take this call seriously by creating spaces where children can learn about Jesus, feel valued, and know they belong. Every stop along our path will teach us about the Good Shepherd and how he cares for his sheep. Like David discovered throughout his life, first as a shepherd and later as a king, we’ll discover important truths such as:

• I can turn to the Lord for comfort when I’m feeling anxious or afraid.
• I can have an attitude of gratitude in every situation.
