The Sower is Jesus

Aug 2, 2026    Jason Pennington

In Matthew 13:3–9, Jesus tells the Parable of the Sower, and in verses 18–23, He explains its meaning. Throughout this series, we'll discover that this parable isn't just about seeds and soil—it's about our hearts and how we respond to the truth of God's Word.

Our first two messages lay the foundation by answering two life-changing questions:

✨ Who is the Author of Truth?

✨ What is Truth?

Jesus Christ is the Truth. He is the Sower who plants the seed of the Gospel—the Word of God—into every heart (Matthew 13:37; Luke 8:11).

As the series continues, we'll examine the different types of soil described in the parable, each representing a different condition of the human heart. Together, we'll ask an important question: What kind of heart do I have?

Whether you've walked with Christ for many years, are searching for answers, or simply want to understand His Word more deeply, we invite you to join us each Sunday as we seek the Truth found in Jesus Christ.
