“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.”
1 Timothy 4:12
Teens don’t have to wait until they’re older to make a difference for Christ. God can use their words, actions, and example right now to show others what it means to follow Jesus. In a world that often underestimates young people, this verse calls them to live with integrity, compassion, and faith — setting the standard instead of following the crowd. It’s a challenge and an encouragement to speak kindly, act with love, stay strong in their beliefs, and walk closely with God. At Hawthorne Baptist, we want every teen to know that their faith matters today and that God is already shaping them to impact their homes, schools, and communities for His glory.
Current Memory Verse
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor;
he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.
