Who Then Can Be Saved?
Mar 8, 2026 • Jason Pennington
Last week, we looked at the story of the rich young ruler in Matthew 19 who asked Jesus, “What good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?” Like many people and religions today, he believed eternal life could be earned through good deeds. But Jesus showed him what many struggle to see—that no amount of goodness can make us worthy of heaven. Trying to earn salvation leaves us, like the rich young ruler, walking away sorrowful and still searching.
This Sunday, we’ll continue the story as Jesus turns the moment into a powerful lesson for His disciples. Their response leads to an important question: “Who then can be saved?”
Join us as we look at Jesus’ answer—and discover the hope found only in Him.
